CEIBS MBA Program - Asia's Premier MBA Experience
CEIBS is recognized as Asia's premier MBA, ranked #1 in Asia for nine consecutive years and #12 globally in the Financial Times Global MBA Rankings 2025. In 16 months, students gain first-hand insight into China's economy while developing a global mindset that travels anywhere.
Why Choose Our MBA Program
What makes CEIBS stand out is a combination of substance, structure, and setting. This program attracts professionals from around the world because it delivers what ambitious leaders need: a strong academic foundation, real engagement with China's business landscape, and international access that's hard to match.
At CEIBS, you work within China's business environment. Classes are held in Shanghai, but your learning extends to hubs like Shenzhen and Hangzhou. Company visits give you direct insight into how local firms make decisions. This level of involvement helps you understand Chinese business culture, market behavior, and regulatory context. You then use that understanding in leadership roles that require regional expertise.
As one student put it in Poets & Quants: "If you don't go to CEIBS, you can't understand China."
The immersion comes through China modules, company visits, executive dialogues, and the Integration Consulting Project (ICP), where teams advise an organization on a current challenge. The result is preparation for roles across Asia-Pacific and for multinational assignments that require credible China experience.
CEIBS earns its rankings by delivering results that matter. Students find strong career opportunities, employers value the preparation the program provides, and faculty consistently bring strong research and teaching into the classroom.
AACSB and EQUIS accreditations further confirm this level of quality. These signals reflect a curriculum that meets international standards and a learning environment that supports continued development.
While the focus on China is strong, the international opportunities are just as relevant. CEIBS partners with more than 40 schools across the world. You can join an exchange in Term 5, take global electives, or participate in overseas study modules led by faculty. These experiences help you understand how management principles shift across cultures and regions.
Courses taken during exchanges count toward your degree and appear on your CEIBS transcript. You continue paying tuition to CEIBS while covering your own travel and living expenses abroad. Selection for these options depends on your academic performance, motivation, and how well the opportunity fits your goals.
The Real Situation Learning Method™ (RSLM) connects classroom work to live business issues. Rather than only analyzing past cases, students engage with executives on what is happening now, visit companies to observe operations and strategy in action, and present solutions that are judged by decision-makers.
The Integration Consulting Project is a central piece. Teams work with a company in China, synthesize what they have learned across functions, and deliver recommendations that can be implemented.
Every class includes professionals from more than 20 countries and a broad mix of industries such as technology, finance, manufacturing, healthcare, and consulting. These different perspectives influence classroom conversation, team dynamics, and leadership development.
The community continues after graduation, too. Alumni stay active through events and professional ties, particularly across Asia, Europe, and Africa. This makes the CEIBS network a long-term advantage, no matter where your career leads.
