BackOn 10 August 2012, CEIBS alumni, family and friends, along with businessmen, members of the academe and representatives from the Philippine government gathered to celebrate the inauguration of the China Europe International Business School (CEIBS) Alumni Association Philippines Chapter (CAAPHC) at the Garcia Villa, Manila Peninsula.
The Council of the CAAPHC consists of:
· Karl Leung 梁志诚, President;
· Bryan Que 郭明渊, Vice President;
· Carl Chung 莊子徳, Secretary General;
· David Ingles 应大卫, Communications Officer;
· Roslyn Chua 蔡文玲, Events Officer
The association plans to connect and collaborate with the top universities, alumni chapters, and business organisations in the Philippines to do:
o Information sessions where CAAPHC Alumni can share their experiences studying at CEIBS, as well as working and living in Shanghai and in other parts of China;
o Organise study tours from the Philippines to CEIBS Campus in Pudong, as well as tours to some of the companies and factories of its 12,000 Strong CEIBS Alumni Network; and
o Organise study tours where CEIBS Executive MBAs can visit the Philippines for trade and investment opportunities
On the cultural front, CAPPHC plans to organise an annual Chinese New Year dinner where they plan to invite the who’s who of the Philippine business community to enjoy a night of Chinese food, entertainment and culture.
